Faceless Invasion
I’m not sure what to make of Faceless Invasion [NSFW]. They said… “Teams will be asked to [execute] a series of tasks, recording each step of the way on video and in photos. All members will be guaranteed anonymity… The team with the most points at the end of the day will receive…at least $500.”
It happened about two weeks ago in Montreal (I wasn’t involved), but since then very little of the content as been made public, and will only be available through a yet-to-be-released mobile service. The cynical side of me is beginning to think that despite how it seemed at first, this has all been a purely commercial endeavour - they’ve got students to perform salacious acts on film in order to aquire very cheap video content that they can resell. It will be interesting to see it unfold.
Update: Turns out the person behind it is Nicholas Molnar, an economics student at McGill.
